FingerPlay MIDI version 0.9
Version 0.9 of FingerPlay MIDI adds a few more options for each MIDI controller in the layout XML file. You can now set whether it should send note presses or controller changes and which channel and controller number it sends it on. I’ve added some comments to the default XML file which I hope is enough to get everyone started.
There’s also basic support for the Android hardware sensors courtesy of Matias Wilkman, but because they’re still very much work-in-progress they’re not enabled by default. If you want to try them out just uncomment the last screen in the default XML file.
Please let me know if there are any problems with this new version, I’m flat20 on Twitter.
@Bekker Thanks! I’m not sure it’s an issue with FingerPlay though. I’m only really reading the values that come in from the device itself so if it happens with FingerPlay it should happen with any app on your device. Unless of course there’s a bug in FP or I’m doing something wrong
.
Hi Flat20, first of all, great work so far…
But got a minor, but irretating problem…
im running fingerplay on my acer a500 pad, with honeycomb.
When im pressing it seems like i have to press a bit lower than the actual slider, pad or whatever ive set up.
not a big problem with the default layout, couse the buttons and sliders are so large.
but when i make my own with smaller its really clear that you have to press alot lower than the acutal control…
Men , You’re a God
Many thanks!
Awesome! Can’t wait, this app is worth paying for! And with labels and feedback from the PC would be worth more than the similar Proremote iphone app, because it works with any program, not just pro tools, and it is fully customisable
thankyou once again!
Thank you! I agree, FP should definitely update its display to reflect the changes on the desktop software. It’s on the todo list
.
Hey Flat20, I have just downloaded your app and its great!! I just wondered if there is any capability for feedback from the PC to the phone. For example I would like to use FingerPlay to control Reaper, but it would be even better if I adjusted the fader on the PC the mobile app would reflect this. Congratulations on an awesome app!
