I made a 30 minute mix for Womp! – A night I’m playing on tomorrow night in Eastbourne. Mix is a bit darker than what I’ll probably end up playing but well worth a listen if you like your electronic music with a bit of bass and a bit of fun!
Did some googling and came across this video by Guus Baggermans. He is using FingerPlay as input for a robot on his desktop. I’m not exactly sure of the details but I think the robot is Arduino based and he must have modified the FingerPlay source code because he’s using the gyroscope for input.
If you’ve made anything cool with FingerPlay MIDI then please let me know – I love hearing about people using it.
I spent last night playing around with audio programming for Android and I now have the basics of a FingerPlay scratch app. There’s no interface yet and it’s not “real” scratching, but I’ll see what I can do about that when I’m back from my holiday. And I need a better loop to play with as well..
Can’t get embed video to work right now.. I’ll update later.
I should have done a video showing off my Android application FingerPlay MIDI myself, but I simply haven’t had the time for it yet. Luckily Mooreshire did it instead, which leaves me with more time to fix bugs. So a big thanks to him for posting this quick demo!
